Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial College (CARUMCO) is a new institution established in 2019 recognized by National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) with registration number REG/BTP/108.
The college is owned by Bukoba Catholic Diocese having honored a name of the first Black African Cardinal and the Bishop of Bukoba His Eminence Late Cardinal Laurean Rugambwa who had a great vision of uplifting the black man from misery through Education. The college takes the place of Cardinal Rugambwa Memorial University College (CARUMUCO) which was a constituent college of the St. Augustine University of Tanzania.
In realizing the Colleges’s mission and vision, our college is bearing the motto: Higher Education for Sustainable Development. Our college recognizes that change is the major determinant in the process of planning and realization of sustainable development and education is only a spear to achieve that goal.
One of the justifications for having this college in Bukoba is the high demand for Technical Education in Tanzania today. As our vision is to be a premier technical institute in the regional distinction, we are also determined to produce graduates with advanced technical skills and competences who have been trained in entrepreneurship and soft skills and therefore capable of innovation and impacting sustainable development and self-reliance.
